Nancy has been the School Program Coordinator at Monlux Elementary School in Studio City for several years. She was the Math Coach at Beachy Elementary School for 2 1/2 years having taught elementary school for 17 years before that (she started in her early 20's). She has her administrative credential (a second master's degree; the first was in Teaching English as a Second Language), which is required if she wants to become a vice-principal or principal.
Jacob is 24 and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in music and math. He can play drums, sitar, guitar and piano. He won the 3rd and 4th grade spelling bees and came in second in the 6th grade spelling bee. He was recipient of the Olivia Kares' Memorial Scholarship based on six pillars of character at Live Oak Elementary School in 5th grade. In 8th grade he was recognized with only 2 other people as having had straight A's all 3 years at the Castaic Middle School. He won the drum-off every year he was at West Ranch High School. In the summer of 2012 he earned a spot doing research at UCSF using an fMRI machine to study the brain activity while receiving certain hormones. He spent a semester at NEC in Boston studying music, then transferred to Cal Arts in Santa Clarita in January 2016. He released his first CD, Bloom, on September 16, 2016.
Samy is 21 and attending UC Davis. She is a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Playing soccer was her favorite past time (in 2010 she was on the Castaic Tournament team: her regular season team was the #1 team in Castaic!). Her club team won State and then Regionals in 2011. She is attending UC Davis.
